The Highlights

Our story began with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. As the first ever show performed by St Giles Theatre Group, it set the stage for the decades of musical theatre to follow...

1989

1998

We marked a major milestone with 25 Years and Counting, our first revue style production, celebrating the past, present and future of our group’s creative journey.

2013

2018

For the first time in our history, the curtain stayed down as the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to cancel two productions! Though the stage was silent, our passion for theatre never wavered.

2020

2025

St Giles Theatre Group explored the world of original work, with our 2026 production having been written by our very own Emma Sharpe. The Greatest Show proved we could do more than just put on a show!

2026

In our first ten years, St Giles Theatre Group grew tremendously - so much so that we outgrew our original home and made the exciting move to Elgin Town Hall from St Giles Church.

For our 30th birthday, we returned to our first production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, for its fifth run, a true legacy piece for St Giles!

SGTG received the Kings Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour that can be awarded to a volunteer group like us. It's a recognition of nearly 40 years of work and hundreds of volunteers .

What's next for St Giles Theatre Group? No-one knows for sure... but with almost 40 years under our belt, we know that we can handle anything, and the group will only continue to grow!
